Introduction

For those who don't know, my name is Braeden Rogers and I am the Superintendent at The Nursery Golf and Country Club. A little history on myself; I have always been interested in the sport of golf, but I have been even more interested in how golf courses are maintained. I started working at Aberdeen Glen Golf Course, in Prince George, BC, to see if I would like the career that I was thinking of choosing, and it turned out to be what I liked. I decided to take my Golf Course Management Diploma from Olds College. Since completing my diploma, I decided to take my Bachelor of Applied Science Degree – Golf Course Management, also at Olds College. I was a Student Intern at Shadow Mountain Golf Course, under the Superintendent, Brad Pasula, in the summer of 2015. In January of 2016, I took over the Superintendent position at The Nursery Golf and Country Club.

Myself and the Assistant Superintendent, Brady Ambler, are going to post articles and multimedia items to this page regarding certain practices that we carry out on the golf course, to help the membership better understand what we do and why we do it.

If you would like to contact me, my email is braeden@nurserygolf.com or if you are a member reading this, you can always find myself or Brady out and about on the golf course, or feel free to stop by the shop (by hole 2).

I hope you enjoy reading this blog.
